How to use Grapple

Read this link for a list of features which are useful for your case www.grapple.law/how-to-use-grapple

Grapple Advice

Save your work, more messages, more file attachments, up to 30 pages of uploads.

Just create a £12 per month account to use it.

Grapple Negotiate

We send emails to the other side for you; this has a lot more impact.

Any replies which come back, we output this to you and automatically draft your next email for you.

We call you with human admin & moral support when you get an offer.

The cost is a success fee of 15% (inclusive of VAT) of your financial settlement, on a no win, no fee basis.

The success fee is charged on the compensation payment.

For employment cases: this applies to any pay in lieu of notice ('PILON'). It does not include holiday pay, which you keep in full, and it does not include any employer's legal-fee contribution (£750 plus VAT).

If you do not receive a financial settlement, you pay nothing. If you use Grapple to defend a claim and you save money, we charge you 15% of any saving.

If you already had an offer on the table before you started using Grapple we don't charge you on that.

The success fee for a financial settlement will continue to apply until case conclusion and if you don't get a financial settlement, you don't pay anything at all.

This means that even if you stop using Grapple and/or start using another law firm, whatever offer you received whilst using Grapple, that offer will be subject to our success fee when you do eventually settle your case.

If the other side ignores Grapple Law, they will simply end up in court, and they can try to ignore the judge.

Fair use:
-If you do not send a legal letter within 7 days, you will be capped at 100 message limit and limited to approx 30 pages of file uploads.
-Once you send a letter your account will be unlocked in terms of messages and uploads.

Once we have sent an email / letter on your behalf, you cannot cancel, downgrade, or ask for a refund for that work.

Grapple vs Human lawyer legal support

Grapple Law is an automated AI law firm, and does not have human lawyers checking communications.

This means that everything we do is done via AI rather than through people.

The use of this service is at your own risk, as AI does make mistakes (so do human lawyers), so please check everything carefully.

If you feel that your matter is too complex or that you are not getting the right advice, you should end your use of Grapple and instruct another law firm.

You agree to provide complete and accurate information, not to mislead Grapple and not to ask Grapple to mislead any other third party.

At the point of sending a legal letter to the other side, there will be additional checks in place from specialist AI agents.

You will need to press a button in order to send a letter to the 'other side'.

This means that you will be taking responsibility for any communications sent out by Grapple on your behalf.

You should check carefully before committing to taking any actions in a legal case.

Not going on the court / tribunal record

Grapple Law must not be put onto the court or tribunal record - you will formally represent yourself in any court proceedings.

We will deal with correspondence and documentation with the other side regarding negotiation, but will not correspond with courts / tribunal.

Grapple Law must not be used to conduct litigation or perform any 'reserved legal activities'. If you use it for this purpose then you take full responsibility for any wasted costs or other legal costs which may arise as a result.

Personal use only

Grapple Law is strictly not for companies, corporations, lawyers or legal advisors using it on behalf of their clients. Such use will be treated as a breach of contract and unethical behaviour.

Areas of law

Grapple Law will provide you with legal advice and law firm support for your case.

The areas of law include employment law, claims against insurance companies, claims against airlines, and any other legal claims where you have been treated badly by rogue companies and corporations.

Areas of law we don't do include non-UK law, conveyancing, criminal law and personal injury law, claims against the police, housing claims, complex civil claims and other.

Time limits

Time limits are very strict for legal cases, and it is your responsibility to make sure that you submit a Claim before your time limit expires, even if you are in the middle of a negotiation.

If you miss your time limit, any Claim that you make will not be allowed to proceed, and you will get no financial settlement.

Time limits are short in employment tribunal claims (normally 3 months less 1 day from the act complained of).

Time limits are much better in most civil claims, like money owed etc, which are not in Employment Tribunals. They are normally 6 years.

Complaints

If you wish to make a formal complaint about the Grapple service, you can do by emailing [email protected], or you can raise it in your chat and we will see it.

See https://www.grapple.law/complaints-policy for further detail.

Regulation

Grapple Law is a new type of law firm, powered by AI, not people.

As such, it is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, does not have professional indemnity insurance, and does not report to the Legal Ombudsman.

Neither is it regulated by the FCA.

We believe that this is better for the regulators (because they are designed to regulate human lawyers, not AI's) and better for clients too, because it is faster, more efficient, and more affordable.

Confidentiality & your data

Grapple Law keeps all your data confidential and does not share it with anyone.

We do use third-party software like Microsoft Office or Google to work on your matter. The organisations who own such software have their own terms of use regarding the confidentiality of your data.

We also use AI software, and the owners of that have their own terms of use about confidentiality.

These big tech companies all say in their terms and conditions that they will not use your data for training their models or any other purposes, and we hope that they are being genuine.

We will never sell or give your data to any third party.

We may contact you directly ourselves to ask for your feedback about our services, or to update you on new developments.

If you do not wish to be contacted for these reasons, please opt out when you get an email.
